Just had a new Samsung V+ installed in place of my old Telewest TVDrive (hdmi socket failed), but the engineer had massive problems getting its modem to lock on download for On demand services.

Our V Box upstairs connected fine, as did the old V+/TVDrive, but he tried 2 new Samsungs, and a older V+ (black one) he had in his van and couldn't get them to connect properly.

Then he buggered around with new cables and everything, still no luck.

He's left me with the new Samsung box, which is working fine, but no On Demand stuff saying that he would get his boss to call me once they've thought of a solution.

Simple box change turned into a nightmare, felt sorry for the Engineer in the end!
