Re: virginmedia faceplate replacment

The box isn't yours to tamper with or modify. The box remains the property of Virgin Media.

Re: virginmedia faceplate replacment

If you subsequently have to call-out an a technician to fix a fault, change V box etc they may take issue with your 'modification'. I made a dodgy extension cable on mine and the technician who called round to identify my signal fault noted my 'modification' and said 'strictly speaking I should charge you for this call-out'. Thankfully he didn't and supplied a longer cable.

Re: virginmedia faceplate replacment

As it stands, if you've a installation in your home by say BT, VM or any other services provider then the installed outlets remain the property of the provider. If you take issue with the presence of the equipment on your property then you are legally entitled to ask for its removal, but you must do so in writing. The owner of the equipment has 28 days to comply with your request and it is only after this 28 day period that you are given a right to either remove or do as you wish with that equipment.
