I work for an AV company and am interested in advertising products/services.
Please email the sales team with details of your company including your phone number. If you wish to advertise your personal AV kit, then you need to post a new advert in our classifieds forums.

I want to send you a press release for the news section.
Please email all press releases to news@avforums.com. Note : we only publish major AV news stories.

I want to discuss a partnership with AVForums or organise a competition.
      Please email Marketing.

I want to make a complaint about a moderating decision.
Please visit this forum (viewable by logged-in members only) and follow the instructions in the notice at the top of the page.

I have been wrongly banned.
Please click here to send an email to us explaining the details.

I want to swap links with AVForums.
      We don't swap links, sorry.

I've forgotten my forum login password!
Go here to request your password to be emailed to you. And once you have logged in, go edit your password and change it to something more memorable.

I need help on how to use the forums.
Start with the Help button at the top of the page.

I registered but still can't login or post on the forums. Or I didn't receive an activation email.
After registering you need to activate your account. Did you get an activation email? If not, check your user profile to ensure your email address is correct. If your email address is correct, please check that you don't have a spam filter stopping emails from us (emails are sent from admin@avforums.co.uk and admin@avforums.com). To have another activation email sent to you click here.

I am not receiving your emails.
Please make sure that you have allowed emails from us in your email spam filter. You need to allow everything from '@avforums.com' and '@avforums.co.uk'.

I want to contact an AVForums member but they have chosen not to receive emails.
Please don't ask us to contact them for you. If they have elected not to receive emails, we have to respect that decision and so we are unable to contact them on your behalf. Try sending them a PM or replying to their most recent post.

I can't log in to AVForums - my registration seems to have disappeared!
We may have deleted it. If we sent out a regular update email to you but the email bounced back reporting your email address as invalid, we will have deleted your registration after 90 days of inactivity. We do this for security reasons - needing current email information for all members. If your account has disappeared, then please re-register. And in the future, remember to update your profile with your new email address if you ever change it.

Someone posted something in the forums which I think breaks the forum rules.
Please report the post by clicking the Report Post button under it. We definitely want to know. And thanks!

I'm a retailer. Can I tell forum visitors about my services?
The short answer is no. We don't allow people to post advertisements or other self-promotional messages within these forums. Considering that the AVForums has the largest home cinema community in the UK, it may be a good idea to email us for advertising information. Assured Advertisers can reply to requests to specific questions. For more details check our advertising information. Please check the forum rules if you are unclear about exactly what you may and may not write in posts.

I'm in the AV industry and I'd like to contribute but will that be considered advertising the company I represent/work for?
We encourage industry insiders to participate in the forums in order to increase the amount of qualified information being posted. Please check the forum rules if you are unclear about exactly what you may and may not write in posts and in your signature.

I can't find a topic I previously saw in a forum. Where has it gone?
Topics can be deleted or moved. If a topic breaks forum rules, then a moderator may have deleted it. If a topic is posted in an inappropriate forum, then a moderator may have moved it. Using the 'Your Posts' link in the search drop-down menu (click the down-arrow to the right of the Search button at the top of the page) is the fastest way to find your posts.

I need help with advice on which item of hardware to buy.
Try to make a shortlist of the models which fit your needs and your budget and then ask for advice in the forums. Don't email forum admin personnel - we are way too busy running the forums to answer questions like these.

I have an AV related question/I'm trying to find out what a specific word or phrase means.
Search through our forums and if you don't find the answer please ask it in the most appropriate forum.

My enquiry hasn't been covered above. How do I contact you?
Admin of AVForums has chosen not to receive private messages from members. If your question can be answered by a moderator and you are a member, please send a private message to one. Otherwise, or if you are not registered with AVForums, send us an email here.
