Ad Blocking
AVForums was started in 2000 by a home cinema enthusiast in his spare time.
Fortunately the site grew and has become one of the top destinations for AV.
Because we have so many million visitors every month, and because we publish editorial like news, reviews, tutorials, podcasts and videos, AVForums has become a business which is expensive to operate.
Since we are not a manufacturer or a retailer, we do not sell any AV products. Since we are not a publishing company, we do not sell any magazines.
Despite this, AVForums is still free to use.
The way we fund ourselves is mainly through serving adverts. If people block adverts, they are preventing us from generating the income we need to maintain fast servers, produce free editorial and grow AVForums.
For that reason we request that you switch off ad blocking on AVForums. WHile it is everyone's choice whether to block adverts or not, we reward those people who view adverts with extra privileges. People who allow our ads
- can post in our free classified forums
- can download post attachments and view attached images
- can have signatures
- have more stored private messages
- can use our blogs
If you are blocking adverts and wish to have full access to AVForums, simply switch the advert blocking off. Full access will be granted shortly after you use AVForums again.
Thank you for supporting AVForums, the UK's busiest (and always free) AV community.
