Hello people,

Im looking for switchbox with a VGA input, and at least a HDMI input. I got the PDA-V100 from pioneer, but there aint a VGA input on that.

I wanna use the switchbox with a monitor which stand like 5 meter appart from eachother. Sometimes customers want to attach their laptop on it(vga/dvi) and sometimes a dvd-player.

So my switchbox should have at least those inputs. I was wondering if there is such a box, because i searched the internet, but it seems that the vga(analog) is a bit hard to get. I found some VGA --> Component cable, will this work for me? then i don't need anything new and just keep using my V100.

I found a Octava 3 x 1 Component/VGA to HDMI Converter aswell. This should do the job quite nicely i think?

Anyone can recomment me one of these 2 options, or a totally other one?

Convert the the VGA to HDMI and use one of the HDMI inputs on the V100 seems like an easy option.

But from what I've read, that ain't that easy right? Analog --> digital, that isn't just cable?

Hmm oke, i thought that they would be higher priced. But what's the advantage against the vga --> component cable?

It would cost me less, and they image wont be of any higher quality, using the cable, will it?

You can't use the VGA >> Component cable as the component input doesn't support RGB in this case. Some devices can do this, this is why such cables exist.

You could use the component input but again you would need a VGA >> Componnet converter similar to the one I linked to earlier.
