solution one (better?)

so ive got a new idea and i was wondering if this would work

HDMI TO COMPONENT+R/L AUDIO CONVERTER on eBay (end time 11-Nov-09 12:06:16 GMT)

the box is quite expenisve but i saw a second hand one for 30 pounds also would need to get a hdmi splitter but would this work and would i get a picture on the recorder because of the hdcp

solution two

console component to hdpvr
component from hd pvr to converter box
vga to monitor

would this work or other solution i think first idea is better because it wouldnt effect the image quality of the monitor because it couldnt be converted it may effect the recording picture dont i dont mind that much but will it work because of hdcp

I'm not sure if the xbox uses HDCP all the time (I'll test it) but even so - you could use an HDFury which would solve the HDCP issue.

xbox doesnt have hdcp on games on movies yes but i also use ps3 which has hdcp on games for some ****ed up reason
