PSU for Iscan Ultra

Hi Everyone,

The PSU has gone kaput on my Iscan Ultra. Does anyone know where I can get a new one from? Or perhaps a universal one might work?

The label on the PSU reads:

DVE
Switching adaptor
Model DSA-0151AD-06
Input: 100-240v ~ 0.4A
50/60Hz
Output: +6.0V 2.0A
Level 3

Had a quick mooch round the web without much luck.

This should work
AC/DC Multi-Voltage 2500mA Switched Mode Power Supply : Switched Mode Power Supplies : Maplin

Re: PSU for Iscan Ultra

Do you think that will be OK?

It's says the output is 2.5A at +6v where the PSU from the iscan says it's 2.0A at +6v, would that make a difference? Also I'm not sure about the 50/60Hz thing, the Maplin one only mentions 50Hz?

Nothing's ever easy is it

Re: PSU for Iscan Ultra

The current quoted is the max supplied by the converter, so 2.5A gives you more headroom than 2.0A...which is good.

Also, UK mains is at 50Hz, so a converter which takes 240Vac at 50Hz is what you want (although these days most mains switch mode converters take pretty well anything that's thrown at them).

Re: PSU for Iscan Ultra

Cool, so the Maplin jobbie should do the trick then

Thanks a lot for your help (both of you).
