divx is an implementation of one version of mpeg4.

The other type (h.264 or x.264) is sometimes just called mpeg4 as well (and is generally "better" and needs more horsepower to decode)

So it depends which you mean

I think this set will support AVCHD so I'd try that, multiavchd does a good job of converting most file types

Cheers

Hey,

I got my 46g10 yesterday, so was trying the exact same thing .

I used multiavchd like bferbrache said, it was really easy, you give it your source file (mine was video.mkv) then hit encode, a window pops up and you select viera output. It does its stuff and 5 minutes later outputs the required files for you.

Ill go in depth when i get home.

Question Help!

Hi - i have the TX-P46G10B and I've tried using that program to convert an AVI file to mpeg4 (I selected one of the Viera output modes) but it still says 'No Valid File To Play' when I put the SD Card in my TV.I'm a relative newbie to this type of stuff - Can anybody tell me in idiots terms what to do to resolve this? Thanks a lot for any help you can offer!
