50hz Flicker on Samsung STB.

Is it me, or is there a problem with Samsung TV's and Sky/Virgin stb and dealing with 50hz pics. I've ran both Sammie skyhd and the new Virgin v+ stb side by side on my Pioneer Plasma, tried different resolutions but get the same problem, a very noticable and annoying flicker and also seems to suffer with some screen tearing!

Any ideas!!

Are you connecting by component or HDMI?

HDMI on both.
