DVDO Edge IR port control

DVDO Edge IR port control

Does anyone know if it is possible to control a DVDO Edge using the IR receiver port from a PC, say via a serial port?

Is there a spec available anywhere for the IR port?

Otherwise I guess I'll just have to use an IR transmitter to control it, although a wired connection would be better.
