HDMI Splitter to Lumagen - question.

A 1x2 HDMI splitter will allow you to connect to 2 displays simultaneously. Will the same principle work if you output the signal to 2 separate inputs on a video processor?

My current setup:

V+ Box HDMI > Lumagen HDP DVI Input 1
Oppo BDP-83 HDMI > Denon 3808A > Lumagen HDP DVI Input 2
Toshiba XE1 HDMI > Denon 3808A > Lumagen HDP DVI Input 2

From a calibration point of view, I'm pretty sure the PQ is compromised with the Oppo & Toshiba sharing the same Lumagen DVI Input.

Is the following possible?

V+ Box Component > Lumagen HDP Component Input 3 (perhaps via the Denon for switching and for the convenience of seeing the Denon's OSD)
Oppo BDP-83 HDMI > Denon 3808A > SPLITTER > Lumagen HDP DVI Input 1
Toshiba XE1 HDMI > Denon 3808A > SPLITTER > Lumagen HDP DVI Input 2

Could there be any issues with this proposal?

Re: HDMI Splitter to Lumagen - question.

If the Oppo and the XE1 are set up correctly and operating to spec it is unlikely there will be a problem. You can have seperate calibrations on the same input of the lumagen if you set oppo to output native res and the XE-1 to output 1080i as there are sub memories in scaler for 576i, 1080i and 1080p24(under OTHER)

If you want to use the dist amp you suggest I'd get one on sale or return basis....someone like Joe at the Media Factory might be able to help with that.
