5 BNC cable to VGA (HD15) help

Just got this cable to connect my VP50

Red Green and Blue BNC is clear but which sockets for black and Yellow i.e. is Black the "H" and Yellow the "V" or visa versa

One way will work, the other won't - it's fairly easy to check! Don't worry, you can't damage anything by getting it wrong.

Take it from a BBC engineer, you are not going to damage anything at all if you get it wrong. The signal levels are exactly the same, they just consist of pulses of different frequencies.
