Question VGA RGBHV to YPbPr converter - can some do SCALING too?

I've just acquired a home PC and want to use the component port on my PLV-Z2 (720p native) projector, because I don't want to waste the DVI-I port for Sky HD/other AV devices (in digital, via the DVI-out from my iScan HD+) which I was previously enjoying.

The problem is that the RGBHV to YPbPr converters that I've come across don't do scaling, and am 99% sure they won't be able to display my PC's XGA 1024 x 768 res (the closest to my native res) in the component domain at 720p.

Are there any format converters out there that not only do RGBHV to YPbPr, BUT scaling too?

Thanks.

P.S. Of course, I could always get an analog RGBHV D-sub to digital DVI-D converter and use that in conjunction with a 2-input/1-output DVI-D switcher, so that both AV and PC can use the PLV's DVI port. Starting to get expensive though, not ideal...

Can you not change the res to 720p on the PC and then convert to component ? No scaling required ?

I'm sure you've thought of that though Seems too easy

No, that didn't escape me - thanks though . Unfortunately, my graphics card only can do 800x600 and 1024x768. So I've just installed Powerstrip, but for some reason I cannot access the 'Custom Resolutions' menu. Ho hum...
