Sound problem

Help needed please. My Sky HD connected to VP50 via HDMI. Audio from VP50to my amp is optical. I've been messing around for ages but can only get ProLogic2 and not DD5.1 on movie channels etc. DVD is fine and outputs DD5.1 no problem.
I am guessing this is something simple but cannot figure it out
Thanks in advance, John

Re: Sound problem

As a trial, have you connected SKyHD directly to your amp via optical?
Have you made sure DD o/p is selected in Sky box's sound setup menu?

Re: Sound problem

The Sky box doesn't do 5.1 with HDMI! You have to run optical to get DD. Very easily done, you can go direct to the amp or you can assign one of the opticals on the VP50.
