The tricky thing is finding a switch that allows 576i to go through from the HD-DVD player (I highly doubt you will find one that will allow EDID handshaking to force 576i from Sky HD though).
But if you were to take PS3 (1080p24) and HD-DVD (1080i60 and 576i50) and put these through a switch into the Lumagen, the Lumagen will load different crop, colour, grayscale settings etc based on the different input resolutions without needing to manually flick over to another memory. At least for films anyway, for gaming when you might get 1080i60 from the PS3 you can either use the same settings as for the HD-DVD or you can then choose to use different memories.
Me, I got a Radiance and filled all 6 of the HDMI inputs instead

(Arcam DV139, Tosh HD-E1, PS3, Snazio, Sky HD, MAC)! And with the Radiance you get 480/576/720p50/720p60/1080i50/1080i60/1080p24/1080p60 settings all per input memory! (i.e. it takes into account refresh rate as well as line resolution).
