Lumagen HDQ - settings for SkyHD over component

Got my nice shinny new HDQ last week, installed and calibrated by Gordon using HDMI for HD and RGB for SD from the SkyHD box.

Given the warnings about using the HDMI connection, I've disconnected it which leaves me with the problem of needing to reconfigure it to use the component input.

For now I'll disconnect the RGB from Input 6 and replace it with the component connections but does anyone have a SkyHD over component config I can copy, as I assume this will be pretty similar for all SkyHD boxes?

Then when (if!) Sky admit the problem and fix it, I can just reload my saved config.

I'd just change the input type to HD component - select input 6 press menu, right, right and select HDYPRPB and press OK. Get back to the main menu, select Misc, Save, and press OK twice (otherwise it will revert back to RGB next time you power off).

I am in a similar position to you (HDQ) except that I intend to use input 5 currently occupied by my dvd player. Gordon told me:

"It may be that some input re-sizing is required to make the image fill the screen:

MENU>IN>CONFIG>ADJ>SIZE> THEN select T/L and use cursors to reposition top left corner of incoming signal to the top left corner of the outgoing frame, then go to B/r and stretch bottom right corner out to do the same bottom right. Once done press MENU>SAVE>SAVE> OK"

Good luck

Gordon is of course, as usual right!

I had to do exactly that when I went from RGBS to YUV, but forgot! Just make sure that you view a full screen image while you adjust and not letterboxed or pillarboxed.
