HDCP help required

I've got an HDQ on the way and I'd like to be able to output native panel res (1366x768) at 50Hz via the analogue ports from SkyHD but can't because they've turned HDCP on on everything. Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced good quality stripper that doesn't perform any conversion (ie I want DVI or HDMI in and DVI or HDMI out)?

Hi Tim,

Not sure why you can't do this via analogue as HDCP is not on the Component outputs from the SkyHD box. It may be a problem in the future

Stripper wise, you will be hard pushed to find any now. You can get some distribution boxes that allow a non-HDCP device to be connected to the 2nd output if the first is connected to a HDCP device.

Ok - well the current advice from Gordon is not to feed the Lumagen's via HDMI from the SkyHD whilst the issue with them frying the I2C bus is going on!

Connect the SkyHD box via component to the Lumagen. This way there is no HDCP on the signal so the Lumagen will not disable the analogue outputs. I believe you can then can output via the DVI and analogue outputs.

That's fine for the time being, but eventually I'll need the component output from the Sky box to feed the bedroom. I've been offered a stripper but it comes in at about £270. I might just live with feeding the PHD8 720P.

JS Tech do one...

I'm being Mr. Negative. Can't do that as both YUV/RGB inputs will be occupied.

Thanks for the suggestion though.
