Zinwell Briteview 2000 scaler: any good for panasonic ae500?

a forumite is selling one of these for 120 delivered, as i know nothing about these things i thought id ask you lot! i have the above pj and normal sky, and a hdmi upscaled dvd will it increase my sky signal (or all signals?) is is worth the pennies? thanks for your help people.
