Lumagen HDP - all gone green! Help!

My lumagen has just been returned from the dealer for a retro fit of the analogue board. During the process, the dealer changed the timings (presumably to test it) as mine were set up a bit strange (70hz), so first thing i did was re-install my cfg file which was created when it was ISF'd. I then wired back in my inputs as follows:

Sky + to Input 3 and composite sync on 5 using scart to 4 phono van damme cable. Lumagen, as before, set to SCART

DVD to Input 4 using component. Lumagen, as before, set to SDYPRPB.

Output was originally via DVI, native at 70hz, to DVI on my Pio 433mxe (not the mxe-1).

Now when i select either 3 or 4, the output on the display is green. I've done a number of factory resets and re-installed my cfg file, to no avail. Even the new analogue outputs are green when i change to rgb input on the display.

The only thing that isn't green is testing other inputs - Input 4 to test continuity on the sync is perfect colour (albeit composite input). I've also tested Sky and DVD with s-vid to inputs 7 and 8 on the lumagen and colour's fine. Input 3 and 4 though are green though.

Any ideas?

I had a problem with input 3 on my HDP going green with poor sync. This turned out to be a damaged input - the main processing board was replaced then all was well. Sounds as if you need to take it back to the dealer for test/repair.

HTH

PS I also have an old PDP433MXE and could never get tearing free display over DVI. Do you use custom timings?

Did the dealer flash the firmware too? Looking on the Lumagen site version 042106 "caused screen to go green/blue under certain conditions"

Perhaps try version 051806

cheers for responses guys.... Hoping nothing is physically damaged. My dealer has suggested it might be that the A-D converters have been reset and that is should run a 100IRE white window from DVD player (using AVIA etc) via scart to lumagen and run an auto-calibration.

Let you know what happens!

ps MattB - 70hz vertical refresh and timings were set up during ISF - agree they're not perfect, but assuming best that could be done - next pioneer display (MXE-1) resolved the issue with its FRC2 mode (albeit still without HDCP). Happy to PM you my timings if you'd like.

Thanks klnc for the offer but I have (with a lot of help from Gordon@convergent-av) pretty good performance on the RGBHV input and now run the PC straight in on DVI. I was just curious to know if there was a solution to the FRC problem.

Hope you get your HDP sorted.

Hello.
I have almost the same problem with my Lumagen HDP.

When I use DVI Out the Image get all green and when I use component Our it look like the the red colour is missing.
DVI: RGB (1280*720 60 Hz)
RCA: YPbPr (1280*720 60 Hz).

As IN I use Component (#3) and S-Video (#7 and #8) and the problem occur with all input.

I have updated to latest software and done a lot of fatory restore but nothing helps.

Do you think I have mixed up my settings or is the Lumagen broken ?
Any Suggestions on settings or should i take it to the dealer to get it fixed ?

I realy need some help here.

Linken: Your first port of call should be your dealer. They should be able to resolve any issues for you. If you are in the UK you can also contact me directly through this forum or preferably through my email.

What are you sending the 1280x720 to via DVI and YPrPb?

Gordon
