Re: Video Review: Toshiba 32XV505D

Seems like a well balanced review guys.

All those picture controls are great - I have the Toshiba 42Z3030 (now discontinued) and am welcome of these types of controls - but you didn't say whether this set only allows ajustment on 1 User Setting whichever input source is being viewed. This is a limitation on the Z Series.
A nice TV but anyone who would make use of such controls would surely hanker after a larger screen?

But if this is the biggest set your home can take and if the price is well judged it looks like a good buy.

Cheers, daveac

Thanks for this feedback, I'll mention from now on. This TV is the same as the other Toshibas and only allows you to save picture settings per preset (Movie, Normal etc.)

Since I have an AV Receiver which handles this, I've been selfish and neglected to mention it lately

I wasn't trying to catch David out - it seemed a good full review.

I was just hoping TOSHIBA had made an improvement to allow more than one setting.

With my Z series TV I opted to gear the settings for HD - for SD I take the 'standard' settings.

But I would have liked to tweek the setting for DVD film input - for now I with the updated PS3 software I watch DVD's and Blu-Ray via it and the same setting for both just about does it.

Roll on the day I won't need to watch SD stuff.

Cheers, cooperda (daveac)
