Re: AVForums Calibration Workshop

Thanks for a great video production and holding more of these courses in the future hopefully up and down the country Would be great for the forum members as they will see and learn first hand from the professionals how important an accurate image is on your display Also it looks like the right attitude by Neil and the rest of the guys towards the students was spot on which is key as it's easier to learn and take things in more

Re: AVForums Calibration Workshop

Looks like a great event and I wish I'd had the money and time to attend

I'm wondering what the lowest cost meter available to purchase on the course was ? I have had my kit ISF'd in the past and own Calman and a Spyder2 but can never get away from the nagging doubt that the Spyder is innacurate. I'm curious what the cheapest accurate meter sold here was ?

Also, has anyone ever gievn any thought to an AVForums calibaration DVD ? As well as test patterns it would be great to have a generic walkthrough of the calibration steps, possibly using some the course content here. We can't all afford or take time out for a full blown course but I would be more then willing to pay cash for a decent video calibration guide starring Neil

At a guess, I'd say the Enhanced Spyder 3 with Calman Home was.

This package here:

CalMAN Enhanced Spyder 3 Colorimeter with CalMAN
