my custom trailer titles

As some of you may have read elsewhere, me and my mate (Matt) have been made redundant and are seriously considering setting up a small production company.

We came up with the name majmedia (Matt & Jules Media) and I decided to come up with a logo, and teach myself a cheeky but of 3D graphics rendering.

So, I've just rustled up a quick title trailer to place in front of any videos we might do and wondered what you guys thought of it.

Nice indeed, catches the eye - what software are you using?

Thanks. Yeah, Probably is a wee bit too short.
That said, I wanted it to be very brief to avoid it feeling self serving, and the viewer feeling irritated by a long sequence before their film starts.

Will give a slightly longer sequence a go and see how it feels.

Thanks. I'm using a combination of Adobe Photoshop and Motion.
It's a bit of a faff if I'm honest, and creating appropriate sounds to match the animation is something I didn't think would take as long as it did.

I've read that Adobe After effects would have been better.

Costlier and harder to learn too but you have done really well with what you've used
Self serving ..?? I would not worry <marketing and Branding cover all that

I think you are right to be concerned the client is only interested in their bit, so I'm not sure I wouldn't reduce the size (place in a corner almost as soon as it starts), perhaps with the WebAddress reamaining larger at the bottom.
+Another possibility is to quickly reduce the opacity, so it is less brilliant and then the grey "curtain" opens on the client's stuff. That might give you an edge, esp. if the Curtain is obviously cloth (Chroma-Keyed?).... so they know when the "picture" is about to start. You can reverse the curtains at the conclusion, leaving yr contact details clear for all to see (and maybe a thank-you?)

Very professional I'd say.

I have recently started a Intro-title that last 11 sec, with "herald" music - only then the the main picture starts with its Title and separate music. There is a faded blackout/silence lasting barely 1-sec in-between, although the black is 70% to make it easy on the eyes.

It may seems obvious, but don't make the titles too good - it raises the bar on the "content" and no-one is really interested in the titles. Hollywood uses endless titling to settle the customers who come in late; which doesn't apply to business viewers.
