PS3 Component AV Cable with Toshiba 36zp46

Hi,

Has anyone set-up PS3 Component AV Cable with a Toshiba 36zp46?

Is the genuine PS3 cable worth getting? And if so does it work (i.e. show improved picture quality as opposed to scart)?

Hope to hear from you soon.

M.O.

I don't know about the PS3 component cable, but connecting my Sky+, DVD Player and Xbox 360 throught the component input on my Toshiba was better than scart.

The pictures really are stunning through component as you can get progressive scan that way.

Belated update, I purchased the authentic PS3 connection and works fine and there is a difference in quality when viewed against the scart lead.

Further update, the lead works on PS2 as well ... for me it was a bit fiddly to set-up though ... !! You may have to use the scart first on the PS2 to select the component options and then switch to Component lead once done.

The TV should then recieve the visual input.

Again notcieable improvement in picture quality (knock on wood).
