Sainsburys 14" TV/DVD Combi for £99.99

Have just seen a Lodos brand 14" TV/DVD combi on special offer in Sainsburys. Does anyone know anything about this unit or indeed own one? If so, what are your thoughts on it? And does anyone know a hack for it? Thanks.

I bought one for a spare room, but at the moment it's at my fathers house as his tv is misbehaving. It performs above it's price point and is multi region (however I have not played an R1 disc in it but I'm assured it's not a problem), the scart is rgb capable and produces a clean sharp image. The style is a bit yuk and the remote is unsightly however i think the package as a whole has much to recommend it.

I have got one for the bedroom, and it comes out multi-region ready. It can play region0 & 1 & 2 & 3 & 4, original vcd's. It decodes both dd & dts signals and has fastext.

Member's on dvd.reviewer.co.uk has also confirmed that it handle's r1-rce's, svcd, mp3 from cd-r/dvd-r/rw both raw and mpeg1&2 + vob files from cd-r/dvd-r/rw, and it has a pal-50 converter but screen will accept ntsc whith no problems and we all think that the picture and sound is clear and sharp.

All this for only £100!

Bought one today for a Xmas pressie and just tested it out watching a couple of DVDs. I must say that I am impressed. Good quality picture even using the little ring aerial and the DVD player is well featured. It played R1 discs no problem. Fastext as well. Don't think that the styling is bad. Made in Turkey, so it may well be a Beko. All in all it looks like a bargain for £99.99. Apparently they are selling like hot cakes and will be at the same price up until Xmas.
