Hi,
I have recently been given a Sony kv-32fx65U which works well when viewing terestial TV. However, when I connect a DVD player and try and watch a DVD I have a problem. The DVD player is connected via a SCART cable from the DVD player to what is designated AV Port 1 on the back of the TV. When the TV and DVD player are switched on, the TV automatically starts on AV Channel 1 the DVD picture is automatically shown, and the DVD plays and I can watch it. All well and good so far. However, after approx 32 mins, for no apparent reason, the TV suddenly skips channel from AV1 to AV2 for 1 or 2 seconds (during which time a blank screen is shown) and then skips back to AV1 where the DVD is still playing. No human action causes this ... it just happens. This continues to occur every 32 minutes until the DVD finishes. I have tested the SCART cable and DVD player on another TV and both are fine. I have tried disabling AV2/3/4 in the setup menu but no improvement. I have also tried using the other 2 ports in the back of the TV but also no joy. I have read this post (
http://www.avforums.com/forums/crt-t...-blinking.html) which sounds
similar but could the DVD player (rather than NTL) send widescreen signals?? I have found the online manual for this model of TV but this problem is not discussed.
If anyone could help in this matter I would be extremely grateful.
Regards
Robbie
