I have this TV and really loved it since i bought it. It now has a problem - When I switch it on;
- it keeps going on to standby and does on turn on.
- i have tried using the remote but you cannot get sound or visual,
- I just get a small red light near the on/off switch - this should be green when working/switced on and red when on standby

I had the same problem on my 36PD30. Mine went off with a pop / bang and a smell of burning and it turned out to be a fault on the PSU. A local TV repair shop repaired the set for £150

Failure of the power supply chip stops this set from coming out of s`by also.
