I was wondering if you anyone can answer this question, it may seem stupid but I just want to know for sure. I have a goodmans gtv76w3sil tv, and when I go to av it has av-1, av-2, f-av, svhs and Rgb. What I want to know is when I have sky+ on it goes right to av-1 rgb but I can also go to Rgb is this the same thing are both rgb channels or do I need to change to rgb chanel to get a better picture. I know av 1 is rgb but just wondering what rgb chanel is.

Re: Rgb

They're the same thing. If you can't turn the colour control down then this is also a good indication that the set is receiving an RGB signal. On some TV's the dedicated RGB channel will shift the picture over to the right a little.

Re: Rgb

I can change the colour on both. So your saying its better to run through Av-1 rgb rather than the dedicated rgb channel. Thanks for your help, was just wondering if there is a difference as I couldnt see one. Will use av1 rgb channel from now on, as this is the channel that comes up when I switch on sky+. Thanks for your help.

Re: Rgb

I'm pretty sure that set is manufactured by vestel which is based on a older philips CRT chassis. It will only have one RGB scart and the second will be either composite only or s-video compatible not RGB so when you see AV1-RGB its when you have selected scart probably but when you see RGB its when the tv has been put into RGB mode by the external device like sky.
