Toshiba 36ZP46

Hi,

My Toshiba 36ZP46 has been fine for 4 years. However it has just started to display light wavy lines. All the colours are there and the picture is the same size and stable, but when showing large areas of the same light colour, light shades have wavy lines over them. Large faces with flesh tones are particularly bad. Contacted Toshiba who referred me to a local repair centre. They said they dont need to come out to verify the fault and told me to contact toshiba again and ask them to send a DFS module to them.

I asked them what would happen if it wasn't the DFS module and they said "well cross that bridge when we come to it. (Quoted £90 for this. Part is FOC from Toshiba).

The fault description does not sound like other cloassic DFS fault problems I have read on the forum. The dealer said it was classic solarising and was a common fault for the DFS to exhibit.

Any thoughts would be welcome!

I'd agree with that.
