How do you output HD to two different sources????

Hi all,
I have a PS3 and am outputting signal to my samsung telly and when needed my panny pt-ax2000e, the problem is my onkyo amp only has one output socket.

I am currently swithcing the hdmi cables (t.v and proj) plugged in to the output as required but want to use a switcher really automatic if i can get one

How ever i am not a real techy and as far as i know you can only use the switchers for input signals and not the output signal??

Is this true or is there such a device to allow more than one input but to also allow more than one output device i.e proj and telly??

Any and all help much appreciated thanks guys!!!

Yes you want a splitter.

As you have found out a switch is many inputs to one output. A splitter is one input to many outputs.

Sorry I can't link to any, not used any myself so I am hesititant to recommend any, but their are plenty on here who have. Try the HDMI subforum in the cables section.

4 x 2 HDMI Matrix Router switch, 1080P, V1.3. Route 4 different HD video sources to any 2 HD displays with Digital Optical Audio output.
