I don't think this will work on a UK model. The Toshiba in the article already has a line doubler built in, it just hasn't had the 3:2 pulldown circuitry activated. The UK Toshiba rear projection tv's have no form of progressive scan built into them, so there won't be any dormant 3:2 pulldown waiting to be activated, as there's no line doubler to start with.

I would love to be proved wrong though.
