Question Toshiba 32zp18p

Hi all,

My Toshiba 32zp18p has developed a problem and typically it has just gone (16days) out of the twelve month guarentee.

I can turn it on but no picture or sound comes on, the remote doesn't work and nor do the buttons on the tv itself. At first it started with the set working as normal but then locking up after a while, this time gradually got shorter until finally it won't work at all.

Any ideas folks

Thanks in advance

Bec

I'd go back to the retailer. Although it's out of warranty I don't think it's acceptable for a TV to fail that quickly. The Sale and Supply of Goods Act provides for a "reasonable" life of products and IIRC a TV is deemed to be around 6 years.

Also phone Toshiba direct and see what they have to say.

I had a similar problem last year with a Sony 25'' TV, mine would come on then turn itself off, and this had nothing to do with the turn off timer.
It's an earthing fault I reckon.

Engineer time.
