Sony hours run ?

Anyone know the code to display the hours meter on an old KV29 X5 ? It's a two digit code (i believe) entered at the TT menu.

Dont enter any two digit code except 00 to get out of the TT menu. Entering any other code may screw it up.

You want to press menu when TT is displayed and go to demo. Cant remember if they have hours run or not, but if it has it will be there.

Define 'incorrect' ? Did you have the correct code but enter it incorrectly ?

I entered the code for another Sony thinking it may do what I wanted it to do. The warning is here:

Don't do it!!! :o

On my KV28FX20, TT22 sets the TV for use in 'Destination L' - thus the TT codes do vary from model to model

Incidentally, my TV's service manual has no mention of 'Operating timer and error mem. display' as a TT code.... oh and one TT erases the NVM chip back to default (not necessarily correct) settings.

Be carefull in the service mode!

They were available for download. I recall someone posting a password was now required to access them though.

Yes I don' think you can easily download them... I used to work at a TV shop so I was able to get a paper service manual for my Sony.

I do have a few Panasonic service manuals in PDF form < HERE > (sorry No Sony manuals though)
