Advice sought on problem with TV.

Hi,

I have a Sony KV-32FX68U. It's about 5 years old.
Yesterday I sattred noticing a really annoying 'flicker' on the screen.
It's at it's worst when you first switch the TV on.
When it gets the flicker, it also makes a clicking sound.

It's now getting worse and I'm concerned our TV is about to go right before Xmas (exactly what happened last year with our previous set!!!).
With 32 kids, this is not good

I thought the best thing to do was to upload the video of the problem to youtube.
Any advice/opinion are greatly appreciated

Re: Advice sought on problem with TV.

Check the video link again, as you'll need to cut 'n' paste the actual URL when the video is loaded in your browser.
As for the fault, it could be down to a number of things, such as dry solder joints, component failure, or (worst case scenario), a faulty tube. It's not DIY fixable, so you'll need to have a ring round some local repair shops and get a quote.
