Last night the TV switched itself off when I was away from the room, I switched it back on and all was well for a while. Then it stopped responding to the remote control and if I switch it off it will stay on standby. If I disconnect it from the mains for over 1 hour it will work fine for 5 mins...the it will not accept comands from the remote...also the auto screen size stops working and using the controls at the rear of the TV have no effect. Any ideas would be welcome .

Re: Jvc av32x35hke

Hi,
Just found your post from last September. Did you ever sort out your problem? I have almost the same model, mine being the 28", (that's probably the two imported and sold by Powerhouse!), and my set is now doing the same:

My JVC AV-28X35HKE television has just started to give a problem. It will mostly turn on at the first attempt of the day and all will be well, but thereafter either won't turn on or when it is on, the volume/channel controls do not operate. I have also noted the following:
  • Pushbuttons on the set do nothing either
  • Switching off at the main button and even unplugging for several minutes does not help
  • The stand by button remains lit (red). If I can turn the set on, it goes green
  • I have other remotes in use with the set, and they do not work with it either
  • Just in case one of the above remotes has a button stuck, I have even removed them from the room to establish if they are affecting the set
  • I have even disconnected the scarts to no avail
The above is copied from my posting currently near the top of the forum. It may be too late for you but let's see......
