Panasonic TX28-PL1 - Service Menu Problem

I bought a second hand PL1 and I'm having some difficulty making an adjustment in the service mode.

The picture has "green push" and I want to tweak the colours to correct this. I notice a few PD30 and PL owners have had this green tint problem even on new sets and corrected it.

I accessed the service mode (bass to max, treble to minimum and then press "index" and "-" buttons) and got to the colour menu (which has High and Low sections) using the red & green fastext buttons, but once there I couldn't do anything. On other menus the yellow & blue buttons adjust the values but they have no effect in the colour menu, nor does TV/AV or any other button.

I see someone else had exactly the same problem with the PL4 (link).

I'd really appreciate it someone can help. Thanks in advance.

Re: Panasonic TX28-PL1 - Service Menu Problem (Colour & Geometry)

OK sussed this problem out.

When in colour temp mode, first press "STR". Then a ">" symbol will appear beside the red "High" setting. You can now use the fastext buttons to navigate and adjust red and green in High and Low. It doesn't let you adjust blue though. Checked a different Panasonic CRT and it is exactly the same.
