whats the best way in setting up the tv's picture settings? I am talking about the contrast \ brightness \ colour \ sharpness. Is there a particular rule of thumb to follow? I have a sony 32fq75.
Should contrast be lower than brightness etc ? please advise

A test DVD or tape will help Avia will do NTSC and Ultimate DVD platinum form Oz PAL settings.
I think you can download test cards burn them to a CD and play them through your DVD but i dont know where you get the referance card from!
