Aconda Problem (Electrical?)

Since connecting the Pace DTVA to my Aconda I have experieced some problems as reported in thread "Pace Problem" from 11/5/3: picture flashes, crackling sound, sensitized rear panel of connections - when touched caused flashes and crackles.

Having disconnected everything from the back this dissappeared after about 10 minutes.

My main concern was that the DC power cable and aerial inputs were both into the head of the scart - can this be a good thing!?

Any advice on why this is happening? Does anyone have experience of the Loewe Digital TV upgrade?

Cheers.

***updated title of post - Pace not the problem - see upadate below***

Update - this is not a problem with the Pace box. I'm also experiencing this problem from other sources - DVD player etc. It seems I have a problem with the trusty Aconda.

I tried an s-video signal from the DVD. The picture flickered, there was a pop and then a buzzing followed. Then another pop and the buzzing disappeared. Even tapping the top of the cabinet caused this to happen(!!!) Will have to get an engineer out...
