Heed Technology, what happened to it?

I remember a few years ago a new design of CRT tube was planned- called "HEED", with lower power consumption, shallower length of tube and a higher resolution.

Was the design dropped? Anyone know of any info?

Haven´t Philips got something similar with their new Cybertube? Higher Resolution, Shorter Tube etc.
