Philips 28DW6559 Odd behaviour with Freview

I'm not sure if this question should be here or on the Freeview forum - but here goes.

The TV in question is just under 3 years old and I bought it on Ebay a few months ago. It is in perfect physical condition and I have no reason to suspect that it has been mis-treated in any way. It has been working fine with very good picture quality and all the digital/freeview functions working perfectly.

A few weeks ago it started to exhibit some strange behaviour.

When I turn the TV on it works fine with picture and sound A1. After about 4 minutes there is massive pixelation problems with the picture completely unrecognizable. Then the sound cracks up and dissapears. Then the screen goes completely blank - not a "blue screen" but completely off. Then after about 10 seconds picture and sound come back and everything works perfectly. (Sometimes picture & sound are out of sync but changing channels then changing back cures that).

If the TV is left on it will continue to work perfectly for many hours.

Is this some kind of warm-up thing or is it an indication of further problems to come ??

Any help gratefully received.

George.
