Newbie requires help

I've recently purchased a second hand Panasonic TX32PD30 which apparently is a very good CRT TV.
Now, I'm really a novice when it comes to getting the best out of home cinema equipment. What do I need to get the best possible picture?
I have a freeview box and DVD player. I'm quite happy with the sound so Im not looking to get that wired up to speakers or anything but I just want to know what's the best set up for the picture? I'm not really clued up on scarts or rpg or HDMI so I'm just looking for advice.
Any help will be appreciated!

Yes, you have one of the best CRT models ever produced (although some would argue!).

Make sure you are using RGB feeds for the Freeview and DVD boxes.

Good quality scart leads are a must, although you don't need to spend a fortune.

Perhaps invest in a calibration DVD for best picture set-up.

There's lots of info on the Forum if you do a search.

Good luck.

Re: Newbie requires help

Hi,
Thanks for that reply - very helpful. I did do a search on the forum but have to admit that I was slightly confused. I think it's just a case of getting used to the jargon.

Avoid rpg at all costs, it will destroy the TV and most of your house to-boot.
