when i switch on after the tv has cooled down i get nothing but horizontal lines rolling top to bottom, after a few minutes the picture comes on fine but recently it's been taking up to an hour for picture to come on. last night it was over 2 hours before it came good. sets about 4 years old now so don't want to waste money on it but also don't want to buy new tv if the toshiba is easily fixed. will add a picture later

big thanks to theforums here, new part supplied free by toshiba and fitted for £50 not to bad a price to pay. All working now

Is the on/off switch easy to replace, not the actual switch just the bit that you push

Yes, pretty easy. Costs silly money for a bit of plastic though!!! £20ish all in.

I've posted a link to it somewhere in the DFS thread....
