Help w/ Audio Hookup on New Scenium

Hello Everyone. This is my first post as a member on this Forum.
I recently Purchased a new 52" RCA Scenium TV.
I was reading that I can hook up 2 external speakers (left and right) and still be able to use the TV speakers to act as the center channel.
Does anyone know how to do this.
I am totally new to this home audio & Video scene, so please excuse my ignorance on questions to follow.
