Please help the confused

First off hi all

I was going to get a sony kp44ps2 projection TV but after looking through this board i noticed that there is far to much configuring of the set and there are a few problems with it so i decided against it. Thanks people you actually did me a favour here because i didnt really have room for a screen that size.
I then after much reading decided that the Toshiba 36ZD26 was the TV for me until i read the boards again. Ive seen so many post with problems with this set that its actually scared me off buying the set completely i cant understand how you guys can be so patient with what seems to be a faulty TV model.
Anyway heres my problem. After having my first two plans for a TV smashed im left confused and i need some advice.
Please can someone recommend a TV that has an Excellent picture for watching mainly DVD movies and playing xbox. I have a budget upto around £1500. Ideally i would like a 36inch but if there is a stunning 32inch screen i would settle for that. I would like a model with 100hrz and if poss 2 rgb sockets. Im not fussed about having a digital decoder builit into the set and i have no care for the sound quality either as i have a good home cinema sound setup CRT is preference.
Thanks to anyone that can help. Sorry if this is a boring post, but im new to televisions and am now confused and just a sheep among the wolves.

Im waiting to see the jvc av32d25 and it is suppose to have good picture quality for around the same price of the philips pixel plus set the 9617 (ofwhich i was going to buy until i read the dark bars problem)

Anyway the guys at the shop who saw it says that you cant compare it in picture detail as it is much better than p+ with hd quality at 1250 scan lines!! I was glad he said that as philips I dont really trust their products too much (not the performance just the quality control). But I was very impressed with the pixel plus model (great for dvd detail) and good sound.

The jvc has a built in decoder for 5,1 but the sound is not good of what I am hearing from some owners on this forum but as you have the amp its okay.

Sony KV-32FQ70, Released in April should come in at just under the grand mark, which leaves £500 for your audio gear!
