yep, correct

the bloke in the sony centre in bluewater says they they haven't got any details on the model replacing it and they've got to wait for the new catalogue from sony which should be out at the end of feb

he thinks the only changes are cosmestic but won't be out til either end of march or april

he also didn't know the price

on the same day i reserved a 32fx66 at john lewis

oh they know about the buzzing alright.

The JL fella reckons it's rubbish and they can get loads of stock. When I ordered mine a week later they had tons of stock and no waiting for me.

I've heard that Sony can't make 'em quick enough so have told Sony centres to hold off selling them for a while until production catches up - don't know if that's true or not but doesn't seem too far fetched.

they can't make the NX200 models fast enough
the FX66 is discontinued for some reason sony will release the new range much quicker this year, However some new stock is still trickeling in.

Oh and they are going back to BLACK bigtime.

Well no the FX68 is only a 100hz looking what the above says with the FX66 is 100 digital plus ie like what the above FQ70 got. Also the FX68 does not appear to have PIP and the FQ70 does so really the FQ70 is more near tot he FX66.

But the above detials is not enough to compare really

Got info from friend who works for Sony.

As for the price of the FQ70 if you think £999 is cheap then you will be surprised. Please note that £999 is average ish price. My friend tells me he would expect FQ70 to be around £899 at the likes of Unbeatable etc but about £1099 at the like of your high street Comet etc.

well. those prices are heading in the right direction - lets just hope the quality control doesent go down too.

i was all set for getting an FX66, with only the 'buzzing' posts delaying my decision - looks like i'll be waiting and see for a month or two more.

after a quick search, I found this interesting page.

http://www.gfcontraste.com/SONY%20Am...0&%20Image.pdf

[note - it lists trade prices, not retail]

I think they should get the current problems sorted first (buzzing for one) before they start adding extras

I enquired about the Sony 32 fx66 being discontinued, and they said (Sony Centre) that the name\model no. is to be changed but the actual TV is exactly the same. ?
