Re: My God how heavy!!!!!!!

With a screen that size the type and quantity of glass to contain the vacuum within it is never going to be especially light-weight!

Re: My God how heavy!!!!!!!

Me, my father and sister's boyfriend all carried it.

We still struggled. What did Comet workers used to do when someone ordered a 40 inch

Anyone know how I could find the official weight of this beast?

Re: My God how heavy!!!!!!!

Yeah but it is worth all the size & weight for reasonable picture.

I once saw a LCD TV demonstrated with a video of a Man wearing a black/dark outfit skiing down a snow covered mountain. lmao@ it. Try a video like that on a CRT and see how it should be done.

I tried the Philips website; the brochure is the first one I see that does not have the specification.

http://www.p4c.philips.com/files/3/3...05_pss_eng.pdf

For comparison, my Philips 32PW9509 weighs 60kg. I would say that's 80 or more. As for 40" CRTs, that's a rare beast.

Re: My God how heavy!!!!!!!

I have a 36" Tosh CRT and me n my bro struggled like hell getting it up and then down the stairs!!! Thing weighs just over 11 stone!!!!! A TV! 11 stone!

Nope. Not Geoff Capes. Belly's nearly as big though. And me nuts are in me socks.

Hate budgies too.

I really shouldn't post when I've been on the lash.....
