Why is my Panasonic NV-HS 830B dropping sound ?

Help!

Whenever I watch normal UK television within 30 minutes the sound will 'disappear' for about a 1 second. I believe it works fine on BBC1, I just have problems when watching BBC2 and CH4!!!

I have swapped the video once but I still get the same problem?

I have tried different things like:
replacing my Coax cables
buying a new 'Maxview' booster
Moving the video further away from the TV/Amp and Speakers.

All failed!

I even tried phoning panasonic who suggest returning it again....

Q1. Does anyone have a better idea what causes this problem?
Q2. Anyone recommend a S-VHS video for under £200 with to S-video output ?

Thanks
steve
