Dont know if this is normal

Ok this evening while my room was dark and I was watching a DVD on my Sony KV32FX66. When I ended the film and turn of my dvd player. As i had scart selected the first place it did not go to a tv channel which I expected as I turn the AV on my self as I flicked over during the film to look at footy result. Anyway let get down to the thing I notice. As you all prolly know if you turn to a AV channel with nothing turn on you get a black screen. At the top i notice a shadow of light but it was dull. Is this ok anyone else seen this?
