damaged tosh screen

i bought a toshiba 36zd26p from robertsons on the 16 jan, and i have just noticed a fault with the screen.

on the top right hand side of the screen there is a one millimetre static black mark like a tiny scatrch on the inside of the screen, has anybody else had this problem, and how to i stand on the warranty can i insist on a replacement set.thanks

If you had bought a large plasma screen and had several dead pixels the effect would be similar, but it would be said to be "within acceptable limits".

I guess you have a minor fault in manufacture of the shadow mask, which was missed at inspection or passed as acceptable, and you will probably get the same reponse. Lets face it if they can argue a 5mm slope in the picture is fine, a 1mm hole in the picture is unlikely to elicit a repair or replacement.
