Question Toshiba 32ZP46P Need subwoofer control!

I have a Toshiba 32ZP46P and following a couple of times when it lost settings last year I had the problem board inside reflowed and I reset the settings from notes I had fortuneately taken when originally adjusting the tube. Unfortunately since it lost settings the sound has been really bassy. I have turned down the bass a long way in the sound menu but it still sounds like a subwoofer inside has been turned on but I cannot find any control in the menus or in the hidden setup screen to control it! I wouldnt mind the bass but it gets a bit loud at times and I could really do with driving bass from my dolby decoder rather than just whatever comes out the tv speakers. Does anyone know if there is a subwoofer in this range that can be controlled somehow?

Dave

Re: Toshiba 32ZP46P Need subwoofer control!

If is the same as the 36ZP I may be able to help. When I worked on mine I had to undo the connecter for the sub which is located on the back of the tele (inside the back, above the tube). When I put it back together i forgot to connect it back up again. I haven't really missed it as for normal veiwing you don't really need it, and if I really want bass, I use my AV setup anyway.

Re: Toshiba 32ZP46P Need subwoofer control!

on the remote below the four coloured teletext buttons, the middle one does turn the sub on/off, and provides a slider for volume for the sub. ps, my tv is the 36zp48, dont know how much difference that makes.

see attached pic for details.

Wow. As simple as that! I didn't realise it would be so obvious and was looking in the wrong place in the manual. Many thanks for taking the time to post the photo and the reply.
