Toshiba 36ZP18Q Remote and Front Panel Buttons Dont Work

Please help.

My TV has developed a strange problem and I cant find it anywhere else on this fourm. Every now and then, once the tv has been left on for a few minutes, the remote control and the front panel buttons will not work - there is no control of the tv what so ever.

The only was to resolve this is to turn the tv off and back on. The picture, sound etc is all perfect - you can only tell there is a problem when you go to change the volume/channel! No buttons on the remote or the tv will work at all.
